Sutton Windows' vertical sliding windows are widely used in conservation areas or to preserve the aesthetic facade of a traditional building. Vertical sliders can be produced with arched top sashes and all traditional window styles including bays are possible. The windows can be manufactured with an optional sash tilt facility for easy cleaning and glazing bars can be fitted to match period window styles and give that authentic look.
An added benefit is the ability of both sashes to tilt inwards, allowing both sides of the glass to be cleaned from the inside.
All vertical sliding sash windows are fully reinforced, and supplied fully glazed with the appropriate spring balances for the specified window.
A wide range of fittings and hardware is available including traditional bars sash lifts, locking fasteners, variable position restrictors, tilt support arms, ventilators and opening A-bars.
Windows can be fitted with key locking and thumb turn cam catches. The tilt mechanism can be operated either by a bar restrictor or a cord restrictor, with the cord option the tilt cover is lockable with an allen key to prevent unauthorised operation.
