Windows - Casements
The Casement window range includes full side-hung and top-hung sashes. These can be combined in many configurations, with or without fixed lights, and with the option of equal sight lines.
The versatile designs of our profiles allows for most tastes, especially our latest "Slimline" range which has been warmly received. Chrome handles are the vogue choice at the moment but white, gold and black are also available. Operating handles can be fitted at low levels, making the windows easy to operate for wheelchair users or the elderly in sheltered housing schemes.
The stainless steel friction hinge is recommended for casement windows and incorporates a brass friction screw to give the required degree of resistance when opening. These hinges have been tested, and performed satisfactorily, for over 30,000 full cycles. Fire egress hinges are also necessary in some rooms to comply with building regulations. These hinges open to a full 90 degree giving maximum room for an adult or child to climb through in an emergency. Press-to-release 'trigger' handles have been designed for ease of opening in a hurry, when the natural tendency is to simply 'grab' the handle.

Yet no one wants to turn their home into a fortress; just sensibly safe and secure for you and your family. With Sutton Windows 'Sanctuary' system 'Defender' friction hinges, combined with security claws and a multi point shoot bolt locking mechanism dramatically improves resistance to unlawful entry. The casement windows have been tested and meet the BS 7950 (PAS 011) security standard.
The 'shoot bolt' locking system option is available on both PVC-U and Aluminium and combines comfort with high security, as well as permitting air circulation through a lockable night vent position. All handles are fully lockable.
